Nanika is one of ten littermates from the “Blackberry Litter” that the shelter received last spring. A kind family found the little ones hiding in their blackberry bushes, and although they searched, were unable to locate the mother.

Read Across America Week was kicked off at Union Springs Elementary School and was a success. Students and teachers wore their favorite Dr. Seuss t-shirt and Dr. Seuss hat. Bullock County local, Nazareth Reynolds Thornton designed the shirts for the school and community.
