A 27-year-old Union Springs man was among 11 individuals arrested during a two-day undercover operation targeting suspected child predators in Lee County.

Members of WHEELS recently toured the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery. The group had hoped to meet Governor Kay Ivey during their visit, but she was not at the Capitol at the time. The ladies also enjoyed a lunch stop at Ingram’s Farmer’s Market and Garden Center.
The Bullock County Humane Society is hoping to find a loving forever home for Mickie, a sweet and gentle mixed-breed dog who is ready to become part of a family. Mickie is approximately 1½ years old and weighs between 30 and 35 pounds.
