In January 2024, an investor group led by Henry Ford, Hill Womble and Adam Russell completed its acquisition of Union Springs-based Community Bank & Trust and rebranded the bank as LifeSteps Bank & Trust to bring niche commercial and private banking to the Alabama market.
Union Springs Elementary School announced the winners of the 2nd Annual Multiplication Bowl that took place on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in the school’s cafeteria/ auditorium. First Place winner: Michael Todd; 2nd Place winner: Samuel Gomez; Third Place winner: Ahmaad Peebles.
