Bullock County Humane Society Pet of the Week

This beautiful gray lady is “Luna” and she came to the Bullock County Humane Society a few weeks ago. A nice lady found her on the side of the road and brought her to us. She has been abused so badly that she didn’t trust anyone except for the Animal Control Officer and his family. She came in with older lacerations on her head, hips, and legs that had to be treated. Luna has been given all of her shots, however, she is not spayed and has tested positive for heartworms. She will be spayed and treated for heartworms at a later date before being adopted.

What Direction Are Your Feet Headed?

By Bryan Bixler

Why I’m a sneakerhead: I played soccer my whole life, but when I began to run track in high school I was training in the wrong shoes, resulting in a nasty case of shin splints. Getting my first pair of running shoes felt like I was running on clouds! Though I may have had fancier shoes since, the sharp contrast of wearing the right shoes for that activity stands out in my mind and wins the title of “favorite Sneakers.”
