April 4:  Free appreciation lunch for Bullock County First Responders sponsored by The American Legion Bell, Cook, Hopkins Auxiliary Unit #337, Post 2016, and VFW 5890 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Union Springs Associated Grocery (AG). Let us thank you for all that you do! Your dedication and commitment to service do not go unnoticed!

April 19: 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Highlog/Greenwood Community from noon to 3 p.m. If you are able, please donate eggs or candy. Contact Shirley Reynolds, 334-320-4066.

May 17: 27th Annual Mayday Show - bikes, cars and trucks at Highlog/Greenwood Community, 1166 Co. Rd., Fitzpatrick. Car show entry fee is $20. Contact Shirley Reynolds, 334-320-4066.

June 14: Bullock County Annual Kids Fishing Derby will be held at 8 a.m. until noon at the Wehle Nature Center, 4996 Pleasant Hill Road, Midway. Ages 15 and under. Fish is provided for Youth Anglers only. Must have adult supervision. Youth Anglers should bring rod, reel, bait, and ice-chest. Free refreshments will be provided to Youth participants. CAMO Children and Mentors Outdoors sponsors this event and are currently looking for 100 individual or corporate sponsors to help as well.
