As the snow fell over Union Springs and Bullock County, it caused havoc on county roads and highways.

“The south isn’t equipped for this type of weather. I’m sure the Alabama Department of Transportation is doing all they can with sand, but the roads are in no condition for traveling,” stated Sergeant Grooms of the Bullock County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Rodgers warned, “If you don’t have an emergency, please stay home.”
