Local leader elected to State Greenhouse, Nursery & Sod Committee

Heather Wright of Dallas County, Hunter Smith of Bullock County, Scott Poague of Elmore County and Jon Hegeman of Calhoun County were elected to the Alabama Farmers Federation State Greenhouse, Nursery & Sod Committee Aug. 6. Elections were held during the Federation’s 2026 Farm & Land Conference in Mobile. State commodity committee members help direct policy for the state’s largest farm organization, allocate research dollars and coordinate educational sessions for fellow farmers.
