Bullock County Humane Society pet of the week!

Sapphire is very affectionate and has striking markings for a tortie-calico, but a purrsonality to match. Sapphire is approximately three and a half years old, has been spayed, is up to date on her vaccinations including rabies, and is looking for her forever home. Sapphire gets along well with other cats, has a docile demeanor, and loves curling up in the sun in our lovely catio. Should you adopt Sapphire, you will need to ensure she has a comfy pillow or blanket situated close to a window so she can gaze out and bask in the warmth of the sun.

National Open Shooting Dog Championship, Part 3: The Running

By Elton Bray

Starting the championship on Monday morning, in the first brace was Hale’s Smooth Touch (Shawn Kinkelaar) and Miller’s Extreme Heat (Mike Tracy). They broke away at 8:01 a.m. It was a chilly 39 degrees, but the sun was shining brightly. Touch was absent just after crossing the road, and Kinkelaar requested the tracker at 31. At the hour mark just under the Eagles' Nest, scout George Tracy called point for Heat. Mike was unable to produce game for his classy female. She finished the 90 minutes behind Big Lake.
