Hundreds supported Juneteenth Festival

The 2nd Annual Juneteenth Festival drew over three hundred people to Harris Park in Midway, AL on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Many festival goers came decked out in the African American pride colors: red, green, yellow, and black clothing.

Bullock County Human Society Pet of the Week

Hello, my name is Benjamin! I was roaming the streets of Union Springs and I saw a nice lady in her car at the Union Springs Herald, she gave me french fries that were so yummy.  She was very friendly, so I laid on my back to get belly rubs. She took me to the Bullock County Humane Society to be checked out. She fostered me for a little while, which was nice to have a home for a short time. She had other dogs and cats to play with but what I liked the most was playing with her little boy!

State unemployment rate drops to record 2.2%

Alabama has set a record as the numbers came in for April and May unemployment rates, and they appear to offer good news for Alabama’s economy. Governor Kay Ivey recently praised the state’s low unemployment numbers as she emphasized the importance of good, high-paying jobs to the people who still need them.

Sneakerheads, like most collectors, are passionate and dedicated to their craft. These individuals are very knowledgeable about the origins and history of sneakers.  Many spend a great deal of time and money while building their collections. Most sneakerheads have sneakers they have never worn due to a belief or faith in the authenticity of their collection.
