This beautiful girl is Butters. This sweet girl was dumped on the side of a busy highway and brought to the shelter along with her friend, Clover, by a nice young man who wanted to make sure of their safety. Butters has been at the shelter since a young pup. She is a one year old Terrier mix that is up to date on her vaccines, including rabies, and she has been spayed. She is young and ready for a family who will love her unconditionally. She loves people and enjoys being with other dogs. She has not been cat tested.

The “Unforgettable Finale” event, held at the RSA Activity Center in downtown Montgomery, was a tribute to the enduring legacy of the legendary musician Nat King Cole.

The summer of 2023 was a particularly special one for the Jordan-Walker family as they celebrated their 50th family Reunion in Las Vegas, Nevada. With the first and second generations watching from the heavens, the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh generations enjoyed themselves as they were reacquainted with loved ones from all walks of life.
Union Springs Elementary School announced the winners of the 2nd Annual Multiplication Bowl that took place on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in the school’s cafeteria/ auditorium. First Place winner: Michael Todd; 2nd Place winner: Samuel Gomez; Third Place winner: Ahmaad Peebles. “Thanks to Mr. Andrews and the entire team that made it possible. A big congratulations to all of the student participants. A job well done!! The expectation of academic achievement has been set and there is much more to follow,” stated a staff member on the school’s Facebook page.
Congratulations to Alexis Larkins, a Senior at Conecuh Springs Christian School, for receiving a scholarship from the Bullock County Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Her father, Don Larkins, wrote this on his facebook page,”I never would have imagined our Spring outings to call a Gobbler up would have resulted in a college scholarship. Congratulations to my baby and thank you to the Bullock County Longbeards chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation.”

On Thursday, March 14th, the Hornets traveled to the capital city to face the Rams of Brewbaker Tech High School.
The Hornets started off strong at the plate when Tye’Kellis Wallace got on base with a single hit between 3rd base and shortstop. The Hornets were in good position to score with the bases loaded after two Hornets both got hit by a pitch. With the bases loaded, the Hornets could not take advantage after two players got struck out.
