The Union Springs Police Department remained active over the past week, responding to incidents, serving warrants, and continuing ongoing investigations throughout the community.

Bullock County Rescue recently assisted the Smuteye Volunteer Fire Department and Haynes Ambulance with the extraction of an injured deer hunter in the Smuteye community of Bullock County.
