It’s hard to believe that we traveled by horse, buggy, and stagecoach to get to work, home, family events, business, and celebrations. When we step back in time to around 1860 in Union Springs - we were just becoming a recognized town–still in Macon County then. Sounds easy until you consider that it takes several key events to make a town happen. Folks had to come here from more “civilized/developed” areas to build their futures.
