Bullock County Humane Society Pet of the Week

Meet “Lona & Laurie” two extremely sweet and lovable sisters! They are almost identical in their unusual marking with the exception of Lona who has black on her head and tail, and Laurie has gray. These girls love people as much as they love each other. We are looking for an ideal home that would be interested in adopting the girls together, as they are what we call a “bonded pair” and thrive in each other's company. Both sisters have been spayed and are up to date with their rabies and FVRCP shots.

Now Hiring - Diversity in the workplace

Imagine a work environment representing five generations. We often think of race when discussing diversity; however, diversity is more than race. Our country could use help when dealing with race-related issues, but the same can be said about generational diversity and its issues. At the risk of being stereotypical or putting people in a box, I want to discuss generational diversity using these groups:

• Greatest Generation: Born 1901-1924- My grandmother Helen

• Silent Generation: Born 1925-1945.- My friend Mr. Burch
