In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary on July 4, Dr. William Sauser, minister at the Union Springs Presbyterian Church, delivered his Sunday Patriotic sermon dressed in period clothing, portraying a Carolina Scot-Irish Presbyterian minister who served in the Volunteer Colonial Militia.
Dr. Sauser noted that many Presbyterian ministers joined the fight for independence, serving alongside others as soldiers during the Revolutionary War.
