The Bullock County Voters League held their Annual Banquet on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at South Highlands Middle School. This year signifies the celebration of forty five years of service to Bullock County. Their motto is “Working to make Bullock County a better place during our lifetime.”

On March 17, 2023, Deputy Gregory Williams graduated from the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy (NCGLEA) in Austell, Georgia. The ten-and-a-half-week NCGELA training curriculum included weapons qualification, emergency vehicle operations, Georgia law, first aid, and defensive tactics. The graduation ceremony was held on the campus of Kennesaw State University, where it was attended by his siblings Debra Craine, Melissa Williams, and Retired CSM Clifford Williams.

Puppy Season is here! March 23 was National Puppy Day, however, you can celebrate National Puppy Day on any day of the year. This holiday was established in 2006 and is a day meant for all puppy enthusiasts to celebrate unconditional love and fawn over their absolute cuteness.

This upcoming Saturday happens to be April First, also known as April Fools Day. Many people love to play jokes and pull pranks on one another on this day and have for some time. Have you ever wondered how it all began?
My mother was incarcerated. My father was incarcerated. My mother did not graduate from high school. My father did not graduate from high school. These factors may cause some to believe I did not have good parents. However, I had tremendous parents who were great models. I feel good parents produce good people. My parents wanted better for me and sacrificed to ensure that happened.
Wesley McKinnon, Charlie James Martin, Jr., and Jessie Haynes, III are wanted by the Bullock County Sheriff's Department and the Union Springs Police Department (USPD) concerning the shootings on March 9, 12, and 14 in the City of Union Springs.
