On Friday, October 18, the Hornets and the Golden Eagles of Booker T. Washington of Tuskegee faced off in their yearly battle at the 2024 Battle of Highway 29. Bullock County traveled to Macon County to secure their first win against their rivals since 2020 when they won 32-22. It was a back-and-forth game, with both teams pushing each other to their limits.

Recently, Conecuh Springs Christian School honored the grandparents of students in Kindergarten through sixth grade with a special breakfast, which was a success. Grandparents were invited to join their grandchildren for breakfast and to stay and join them in the chapel afterward.
Mrs. Harvey was my first-grade teacher. On the last day of school, she put a dollar on my desk. I know this does not sound like a big deal today, but in 1985 it was a big deal.
