First Baptist Church serves lunch to Navy 83’ Bama Rama 500

Navy Academy Alumni band together and cycle across Alabama to raise awareness of Veteran issues across the state. On Saturday, October 5, they began their 500-mile journey from Huntsville, Alabama to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Each morning before they begin their ride, they do twenty-two push-ups to highlight the many suicide prevention resources available to service members, Veterans, and their families.

Alabama Coop presents $2500 grant to City of Union Springs

Rod Cater of Alabama Power Cooperative presented a $2,500 grant check to Union Springs Mayor Roderick Clark for the installation of four fairway signs directing visitors to the Murals on Main. Stolen vehicle ends with an explosion

Union Springs Police and Bullock County Fire and Rescue were called to the scene of a stolen vehicle that crashed into a tree and exploded into flames, early Saturday morning, October 12.

Bullock County Art Guild held October meeting and remembers Sara Ann Bayles

The Bullock County Art Guild held their monthly meeting on October 3 at the Josephine Arts Center in Union Springs. The meeting began promptly at noon with Vice President Linda Reynolds calling it to order in lieu of President Philip Duvic’s absence. This meeting was attended by five of its members and guest, Union Springs’ Librarian Beverly “Honey” Grant.

The morning of Homecoming was a busy one filled with smiles and togetherness as the Bullock County High School Hornets football team gathered with the cheerleaders to enjoy the 9A Homecoming Open House hosted by the Law offices of Penn and Seaborn on Friday, October 11 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
