On Friday, October 18, the Hornets and the Golden Eagles of Booker T. Washington of Tuskegee faced off in their yearly battle at the 2024 Battle of Highway 29. Bullock County traveled to Macon County to secure their first win against their rivals since 2020 when they won 32-22. It was a back-and-forth game, with both teams pushing each other to their limits.
