The Bullock County Historical Society will meet July 12 at 2 p.m. at the Business Center on Conecuh. The citizens of Bullock County are encouraged to attend. Vice-President Dean Spratlan will present a program on the history of what was once the local National Guard. Former members are invited to attend.
The Front Porch Decorating Contest has resulted in numerous homes and businesses being decorated. At the Courthouse, with donations from Sean Gallagher and Commissioner Don Larkins, there are patriotic banners and bows on the balcony. The 250th Celebration Flag will be flying on the fifty-foot flagpole.
What an opportunity there is this Fourth of July to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday in many different ways in Bullock County.
