Douglas and Mollie Isaacson of Bullock County, are not only the owners of Buck Creek Tree Plantation near Beans Cross Roads, they are also the owners of the new state of the art self-storage facility in East Montgomery, Alabama. Extra Space Storage was built as a  dehumidified, as well as climate controlled self-storage facility that is located on Ray Thorington Road. The family is thrilled to have been able to open the facility this last summer, which is located off of Vaughn Road and serves both East Montgomery and Bullock County.

The facility provides more storage space for the dollar by eliminating the restrictive storage height of six to eight feet customary at most storage facilities. This storage is designed with units ranging from twelve to eighteen feet in height so that the customer will have the benefit of maximizing the unit space. The new building is energy efficient which passes the savings on to the customers. In addition to being all climate controlled, there is a new special dehumidification system which is the first of its kind in self-storage for the River Region.

The dehumidification system significantly reduces the amount of moisture in the air which prevents warping and mildew from damaging fine fabrics, antique furniture, paintings and other precious objects. Other climate controlled facilities just heat and cool. In addition, twenty-seven HEPA filters provide continuous dust-free air keeping storage items fresh and clean. The larger units have LED motion activated light for the customers convenience and safety.

All of the hard work to make this facility the best it can be has not gone to waste. Extra Space Storage is now in the running for the National Storage Facility of the Year Award.
