The Union Springs City Council met on Tuesday, June 2, after the Memorial Day holiday postponed the regularly scheduled Monday meeting. Mayor Ron Smith called the meeting to order promptly at 6 p.m.
Evelyn Smart delivered the invocation, while Mayor Smith led the Pledge of Allegiance. All council members were present except Councilwoman SaQuania Cooper. The council approved the agenda and the minutes from the May 18 meeting without changes. There was no old business.
