The Union Springs Police Department (USPD), after a short investigation, determined information regarding a homicide and developed a suspect, Joe Louis Hatcher. Hatcher was wanted in connection with a homicide on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in the 100 block of Locke Avenue. Hatcher is described as a black male, 51 years of age, 5’ 9” in height, and weighing approximately 250 lbs. Hatcher turned himself in to Union Springs Police Department on Monday, August 14, 2023, around 1:40 p.m.
