Fourteen women from communities across Bullock County gathered Monday, September 21, to begin preparing Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for children around the world. The group met from 1 to 2 p.m. and assembled 100 boxes during the first packing session. Amy Hall is leading the local effort and hopes the group will be able to prepare as many as 300 shoeboxes by November.
