Surrounded by trees, singing birds, and a glimmer of the lake, students arrive at the Wehle Land Conservation Center (WLCC) to check in to summer camp: the Wehle Nature Explorers. These rising sixth through eighth graders are here for three days in June to learn outside alongside scientists and discover the biodiversity in their backyards.
