Staff Reports

Union Springs will welcome nationally recognized constitutional conservative and political commentator Murray Edwards for a community discussion later this month. Edwards, known for his widely followed podcasts The Newscasters Studio and The Washington Affect, reaches audiences across Alabama and throughout the nation with commentary focused on constitutional principles and civic engagement.

Edwards is a strong advocate for the rule of law and believes that the people of the United States should remain the ultimate voice in how government operates. During his visit, he plans to share insights on community action, citizen involvement, and the importance of staying informed and engaged in local and national issues.

The event will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026, at noon, and will be hosted at the Josephine Event Center in downtown Union Springs. The discussion is open to the public, and all members of the community are encouraged to attend.

Organizers say the event is intended to foster dialogue, civic awareness, and meaningful participation in public life, offering residents an opportunity to hear directly from a nationally known voice and engage in conversation about issues that impact their communities.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
