A new Yield to Pedestrians traffic sign has been placed in the pedestrian crosswalk located in front of the Courthouse.  State Law required all traffic to yield to pedestrians.  According to the Union Springs Police Department the speed limit downtown Prairie Street is 15 MPH. Motorists are encouraged to obey the Law and yield to pedestrians and to observe the traffic speeds for the safety of pedestrians. Tickets can be issued for violations. (Photo by Barbara McLaurine)
