The citizens of Union Springs made their voices heard on Tuesday, September 23, as they voted in a closely contested runoff election that decided two key leadership positions for the city.

Ronald “Llep” Smith was elected as the new Mayor of Union Springs, narrowly defeating mayoral candidate Brian Agnew by just six votes. The razor-thin margin underscored the importance of every ballot cast in shaping the city’s future.
