Bullock County Humane Society urges pet safety during New Year’s festivities

As New Year’s celebrations approach, many families look forward to ringing in the new year with fireworks, parties, and loud festivities. While these traditions are exciting for people, they can be overwhelming—and even dangerous—for pets. The Bullock County Humane Society strongly encourages keeping all animals indoors during New Year’s celebrations to protect them from anxiety, injury, and the risk of becoming lost.

Community kindness shines as Sheriff’s Department delivers Christmas joy

The Bullock County Sheriff’s Department helped spread Christmas cheer this holiday season by surprising several local children with special gifts. Five deserving children received brand-new 55-inch smart televisions, while one young girl was thrilled to receive a bicycle as well, bringing smiles and excitement to families during the Christmas season.

The 2025–2026 season for the Conecuh Station Field Trial Club came out of the gate in memorable fashion with the 2025 Conecuh Station Open Shooting Dog Classic, run on November 3, 2025. Sixty-seven shooting dogs from across the country answered the call, setting the stage for a classic worthy of the storied grounds at Conecuh Station.

This beloved community tradition is made possible through generous donations from local businesses and individuals who come together each year to ensure children experience the joy of the Christmas season. This event took place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Cocktail Lounge in the Aberfoil Community of Bullock County.
