ALBBAA launches 14th year of Big Buck Photo Contest

News Release

Montgomery – Alabama’s Black Belt has earned a reputation as one of America’s premier deer hunting destinations, and the Alabama Black Belt Adventures Association (ALBBAA) wants to showcase your best buck again this year.

ALBBAA is sponsoring its Big Buck Photo Contest for the 14th consecutive year, and the winner will be determined by online voting.

Red Door Theatre closes out 2025 with “Ring of Fire”

The Red Door Theatre in Union Springs is closing out its 2025 season with Ring of Fire, an energetic musical celebrating the life and enduring legacy of Johnny Cash. Created by Richard Maltby, Jr. and directed by Kim Mason, the production will run December 4–7 at the historic venue located at 101 N. Prairie Street.

Union Springs Police Department reports quiet Thanksgiving week

The Union Springs Police Department reported a peaceful Thanksgiving holiday while maintaining safety throughout the city.

Sgt. Cummings responded to two incident reports and issued four tickets along with three warnings. Officer Adamson filed one I/O report and one private property report. Both Cpl. Lewis and Lt. Lewis reported no activity for the week.

Conecuh Springs Christian School participates in Operation Christmas Child

Conecuh Springs Christian School is pleased to announce that its students and community members assembled forty shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Thanks to the generosity of those who gave, these forty gifts will be delivered to children around the world. Each shoebox gift provides joy and an opportunity to share the message of Christ and the gift of eternal life with the recipients.

Union Springs men lead the way toward peace with Men Who Care Initiative
