The Bullock County Sheriff's Department is warning residents to be on alert after scammers began targeting Bullock County citizens by impersonating Sheriff Raymond Rodgers.
According to the Sheriff's Department, scammers have been calling residents while pretending to be the Sheriff or a Clerk of Court. During the calls, victims are falsely told they missed a scheduled court appearance or jury duty and must immediately pay a certain amount of money or face arrest.
