Meet Roxanne! This darling girl, who just wants a loving home, has been waiting so long for someone to give her a chance. Roxanne is up to date on her vaccines, including rabies. She is currently on a flea and heartworm preventative and is heartworm negative. She is spayed! Roxanne is dog-friendly and loves children. She is roughly around three years old and weighs close to fifty pounds. Roxanne is waiting for a family to give her a forever home.
Juneteenth celebrations feature prominent leaders and performers

Bullock County is gearing up for an expansive multi-day Juneteenth celebration, hosted by the non-profit organization, Christian Leaders of USA, Inc. (CLOUSA). The festivities aim to foster community, highlight culture, and honor the historical significance of Juneteenth.

On May 22, Wesley McKinnon received 60 years for each of the three reckless murder charges, to be served consecutively, and an additional 20 years for the other charges, totaling 200 years in Chambers County, Alabama, for his involvement in a high-speed pursuit that ended in a tragic crash, killing three people. McKinnon, age 21, had previously entered a blind guilty plea on April 30 to multiple charges stemming from the incident.

In celebration of Older Americans Month, the Midway Nutrition Center recognized two of its oldest and most dedicated members with a special ceremony, honoring their years of participation and commitment to the center. Each honoree received a commemorative plaque as a token of appreciation.
