The Bullock County Extension Office was abuzz with energy and purpose on Friday, June 27, as it hosted the Safe Sleep Community Baby Shower, an uplifting event designed to support expecting mothers and new parents with infants up to six months old.
Lola is soaking up the sunshine and enjoying some much-deserved vitamin D! This beautiful, three-year-old pup had a tough start in life, but her story is turning around thanks to the care and compassion of those who believe every animal deserves a second chance.

The Red Door Theatre presented Disney’s Dare To Dream, Jr. starring the students of the 20th Annual RDT Summer Camp on Friday, June 13, at the theatre.

On Monday, June 23, a truck traveling northwest on U.S. Highway 82, just past Midway, caught fire under the hood, eventually becoming fully engulfed in flames. Fortunately, the driver was able to exit the vehicle safely before the fire spread.
The incident caused temporary traffic delays along the two-lane highway as emergency responders worked to manage the scene.
