Evergreen Baptist Church women meet

The women of Evergreen Baptist Church held a brunch on Saturday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at the home of Wanda and Charles Sewell in Clayton. A delicious menu of crab cakes, spring salad, grape and kiwi chicken salad on croissants, fruit, cheese, and a yummy brownie dessert was served. Ms. Vela Mae Green did a sweet devotional for the group. Shirley Adams with Southern Magnolia Florist made a beautiful spring flower arrangement. Megan Corbitt had a fun game for the group to play. The beautiful day was filled with a lot of laughs as they are planning their next get-together.

March Madness

Did you fill out a bracket? Who did you pick to win the NCAA Championship?

Is your team still playing?

Let me ask you another question.

A father and his son are in a car accident. The father dies at the scene, and the son is rushed to the hospital. At the hospital, the surgeon looks at the boy and says, "I can't operate on this boy; he is my son." How can this be?

When I asked about basketball, did you assume I was talking about men's basketball?
