Strong storm causes damage in Bullock County

Last Wednesday’s storms hit Union Springs throughout the evening and into the late hours of the night. Several citizens in our community suffered damage from the storm, but it was mostly minimal damage compared to some.

Ms. Faye Gaston woke up and went about her normal routine on Thursday morning not noticing, at first, that the once beautiful tree that stood tall in her backyard, was now laying on its side and had crushed her two car garage that was built the same year as her home, in 1910.
