The Josephine Arts Center hosted a pine needle basket workshop conducted by an expert-craftsman attended by several people including local artist Sheila Brooks. The group was given hands-on instructions and made their first basket. Brooks’ interest grew and has a passion to continue and promote the art of pine needle basket making.
