The City of Union Springs Mayor Roderick Clark, Bullock County Commissioner John McGowan, Johnny Ford, Founder of Alabama Conference of Black Mayors (ABCM), Honorable Mayor Lawrence “Tony” Haygood, President of The Alabama Conference of Black Mayors were in attendance for the swearing in of the first Black mayor of Newbern, Alabama, Patrick Braxton.
