TheLab on Dexter in Montgomery, Alabama is a public-private partnership to grow the tech and innovation  ecosystem in Central Alabama. In February, a group of Bullock County professionals, including Mayor Roderick Clark, former Commision Chairperson Ron Smith, and Bullock County Commissioner Solomon Marlow, Jr. were able to attend an event held by Bullock County native, Kenneth Penn. “It was a pleasure to be able to attend the event held by one of Bullock County’s sons, Kenneth Penn, at TheLab on Dexter,” commented Union Springs Mayor Roderick Clark.

TheLab on Dexter is located in Montgomery, Alabama on one of the most historically significant streets in America. TheLab on Dexter features coworking desks, small business suites, conference rooms, collaboration and event space. Dr. Nichole Thompson serves as the Executive Director of TheLab on Dexter. Dr. Thompson has earned her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and has worked and served in many key roles within her community for more than twenty years.

“This event was a great marketing tool for those in attendance to formulate relationships, wealth, leading techs, and entrepreneurships that are leading the way to help grow the ecosystem in Alabama,” stated Mayor Roderick Clark.
