The Union Springs Herald would like to extend its sincere apologies to Barbara McLaurine for inadvertently omitting the final portion of her article, “The Visual Arts of Bullock County,” which appeared in the October 21 edition of the Union Springs Herald. The omission occurred during the transfer of the article to the editorial department for publication.

The following paragraphs were unintentionally left out and are being published here to ensure that Ms. McLaurine’s article is presented in its entirety:

Other Guild members include Shelia Brooks, Cathy Capps, Mary Chapman, Sharon Harper and Linda Reynolds, all of whom contribute to Bullock County’s vibrant arts community.

A Living Creative Tradition

Many other artists throughout Bullock County create visual art for personal fulfillment, for their families and for those with whom they choose to share it. Though their names and work may never become widely known, they continue the county’s rich and varied creative tradition.

The Union Springs Herald sincerely regrets this oversight and apologizes to Ms. McLaurine, the artists whose recognition was unintentionally omitted, and its readers for the error.
