At the June 23 County Commission meeting, the Bullock County Historical Society requested patriotic decoration for the exterior of the courthouse for the 250th Anniversary Celebration.
Chairman Alonza Ellis explained that the funds the county had received were donated to the City, so no county funds were available for the decorations. The commission discussed the possibility of using private donations, with the Historical Society ordering the supplies needed.
