The Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) Hunger Relief program has been around for over two years and has served the citizens of Union Springs for the last year. EJI partners with several nonprofit organizations across Alabama that provide food assistance to families in underserved communities. This service is designed to strengthen services and mechanisms for improving food security in Alabama, which has one of the highest rates of hunger in the country.
