Former Union Springs Mayor Roderick Clark presented a $3,000 check to Bullock County Superintendent Sean Dees to support student programs within the Bullock County School System. The funds were designated to benefit the athletic and music departments, with $1,000 allocated to the football program, $1,000 to basketball programs, and $1,000 to the school band.

Children and Mentors Outdoors (CAMO) marked the holiday season with a special Christmas outing to Bass Pro Shops in Prattville on Sunday, December 14. The festive day began early, with participants boarding a bus at 9:00 a.m. in Midway and Union Springs for the trip north.

The Bullock County Education Retirees/Support Personnel Association held its Annual Christmas Meeting on Wednesday, December 10, at the Bullock County Career Technical Center in Union Springs, Alabama.
Ariel, one of the Bullock County Humane Society’s sweetest residents, is approaching a heartbreaking milestone. She arrived at the shelter on January 24, 2024, and without someone to adopt her soon, she will reach her second anniversary at the shelter – far too long for a dog with so much love to give.
